DLE MEMBER WELCOMES NATIONAL DIGNITARIES TO YMCA RIBBON-CUTTING

DLE member Jess Rumlow welcomed not one, but two national political leaders to her workplace on May 22 for a celebratory dedication of a $12.4 million renovation of the Berkshire Family YMCA.

U.S. Sen. Edward J. Markey and U.S. Rep. Richard Neal stood at Jess’s side for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony that drew numerous state and local politicians, business leaders, community activists and Y supporters.

A familiar face and voice at DLE Meetups, Jess is the CEO and executive director of the Berkshire Family YMCA. As she declared to more than 100 event attendees, “I stand before you today with so much gratitude because every person in this room recognizes the importance of the YMCA in this community. The value of investing in this historic facility ensures the Y has the ability to continue putting our mission into practice through caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility for providing programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body.”
