DLE CELEBRATES 15 YEARS OF SOARING

On May 2, the U.S. Surgeon General called on Americans to take action now to strengthen human connections to combat an epidemic of loneliness that is gripping our nation.
In our milestone 15th year, the DLE continues to rise by answering that call with a Crusade for Conversations. We’re taking extra effort and deliberate actions to raise our members’ awareness and skills for building social connections. The HUB, our website and upcoming programs will include more practical tips, portable exercises and live exchanges about creating meaningful interactions.
The Crusade kicked off at the in-person May 8 DLE Meetup. Attendees were asked to write a response on a whiteboard to the question: What is one action that you will commit to taking to strengthen human connections where you live or where you work?
Having visible responses on a whiteboard served up instant discussion starters with the group and idea swaps to promote fellow team members’ success. This is a terrific exercise to introduce to your work team. The diversity of responses will widen everyone’s perspectives around small actions that can deliver meaningful impact.
