A highlight of the DLE Community Weekend was the Oct. 2 Downtown Beautification Project. The DLE coordinated more than 20 volunteers to raise shovels and plant 154 mums along several blocks in the heart of Pittsfield, MA’s business district.
DLE community members joined with Pittsfield Beautiful and Pittsfield Commissioner of Public Services Ricardo Morales to spruce up barren garden beds. This was the DLE’s third community service project in three months supporting the beautification of downtown Pittsfield.
Saluting our DLE volunteers: Kalee Carmel, Marie Meak, Danielle Sanders, Michelle Lopez, Ben O’Shaughnessy, Andrea Lein, Marcus Coleman, Julia Kirst, Elizabeth Gates, Jon Katz, Melissa Lussier, Matthew Keator, Kate Lauzon (and daughter Jetta), AJ Enchill (and son Alfie) and Chris Kaytus.
Thank you for making this meaningful and fun experience happen!
