      Gain actionable techniques to put pizzaz in your storytelling at the Oct. 23 Breakfast Club with energetic and accomplished DLE Member Dayna Altman, author of the just published Mix. Melt. Mend. Owning My Story & Finding My Freedom.

      Dayna will share tips for crafting and communicating a compelling story to any audience you want to connect with and cast a memorable impression.

      Dayna is a bold and authentic mental health entrepreneur, author and public health professional based in Boston, MA. She has worked extensively in the human services field and has created several of her own advocacy organizations specializing in mental health advocacy. A twice-published author, Dayna uses food to create a palatable and accessible way for all to approach mental health.

      Timely and pertinent in its focus, the Oct. 28 DLE Ownership Workshop—Vertical Slant: Has Going Remote Affected Your Inner Bias?—is gathering headlines in Berkshire publications.

      The Berkshire Eagle, Berkshire Business & Professional Women and Downtown Pittsfield Members Only Newsletter are the latest publications to feature the one-hour program with Dr. Andrea Lein, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience. Starting at 5:15 PM ET, the workshop will explore:

        • What implicit bias is and how it impacts decision-making in the workplace
        • How the virtual work environment may be affecting your implicit bias
        • How to assess how biased you really are
        • How to adjust your behavior accordingly.

      The former Head of School at the John Dewey Academy in the Berkshires, Andrea brings tremendous expertise to this interactive learning experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical and School Psychology and a M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia. A resident of the Berkshires, she has also served on the faculty of the DLE Gen Now Retreat.
