WELCOME SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING INTERN, VIKTORIA MAJCHER

My name is Viktoria Majcher, and I am a senior at Marist College, majoring in Communications (Advertising and Public Relations) and Fine Arts. I am also enrolled in a five-year master’s program in Digital Marketing Communication. I am thrilled to join the DLE as a Social Media/Marketing intern this semester!

I grew up in Bergen County, NJ. My parents immigrated from Poland, allowing me to be immersed in their culture. Because of this, I have always been fascinated by different cultures and languages, growing my passion for travel. In turn, this led me to study abroad in Italy for six months, during which time I was able to enhance my creativity as an artist.

The dynamic of social media allowed me to explore creativity in a whole new way. Marist College, where I am an undergraduate, allows me to grow artistically while applying my unique creativity to a more digital and prevalent field in today’s world. Throughout my college experience, I have been able to participate in various activities to further shape this part of me and grow into a more confident person in my field.

On campus, I am a part of a student-run IMC organization, North Road Communications, that works with nonprofits. Recently, I have been promoted to an Account Executive, leading a team of 4-5 people to work with several non-profit organizations to expand their social media platforms and raise awareness of their unique projects and campaigns. This role has allowed me to gain a lot of professional experience using social media accounts and analytics and building creative campaigns.

I look forward to using and growing these skills during my internship with the DLE. I appreciate having the opportunity to work with such an incredibly talented team and look forward to developing my expertise. I am also excited to grow my network and connect with creative and innovative people.
